Dominik André is active in the Zurich music scene – as a DJ and with his label Subject To Restrictions Discs. He is known for unconventional selections and for creating deep and transcendent as well as ecstatic moments on dancefloors of Festivals and Clubs. Attracted by the weird and the unknown, Dominik André blends quirky techno with mutant trance always immersed in a Wave and Post-Punk inspired aesthetic blurring the lines of dance music.

As former resident at Club Zukunft, now regularly seen at Kauz Club, Kasheme and Stereo in his hometown of Zurich, he also got recognised outside the city. This has taken him to clubs such as Salon Des Amateurs in Düsseldorf, Arkaoda in Istanbul, Astron in Athens and to festivals like Am Bach, Lethargy, Electrosanne or Montreux Jazz.He also shares his broad musical understanding on radio stations around the world. He hosts the monthly radio show Murky Rhythms Collide on Radio Raheem in Milan and has made guest appearances on radio stations including NTS and Rinse FM in London, Kiosk Radio in Brussels and the much-missed Red Light Radio in Amsterdam.

Besides his DJ career, Dominik André has a reputation for learning about and documenting electronic music and its scenes as a journalist and publicist. When he’s not DJing, he takes care of the creative and administrative direction of his label Subject To Restrictions Discs. With more than 20 releases the label has established itself internationally as a place for 80s- and 90s-influenced music with cross-genre aspirations.
