Afriqua (AKA Adam Longman Parker) crafts his mercurial productions with an eye to the future and an ear to the past.
At a young age, he straddled the seemingly disparate worlds of classical music and hip-hop, studying piano works while developing his skills as a producer and DJ. Diving into turntablism and b-boy culture, he performed alongside pioneers Jazzy Jay, Grandwizard Theodore, and Grandmaster Caz, formative experiences that evolved into a natural versatility behind the decks.
Born and raised in Virginia, Parker was inspired by the productions of local legends The Neptunes, Timbaland, and Missy Elliot. He went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London by day, while receiving the essential nightlife education of institutions like Fabric and Plastic People. He moved to Berlin a few years later, embracing the city’s rich musical offerings.

A selector and producer with family roots tracing back to Jamaica, ill Dubio is constantly seeking out that pure quality in music, the kind that provokes indescribable waves of emotion through your body. This is what ill Dubio lives for. Raised on soul, rhythm & blues and 90s hip hop, his rare and confidential beats have appeared on labels such as Sound Black recordings and Faces records.

Over the years, he has shared the stage with a diverse list of celebrated artists and djs such as Arthur Verocai, MF DOOM, Kaidi Tatham, Slum Village, Marcos Valle, Peven Everett, Azymuth, Sadar Bahar, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Sassy J, Jazzanova, Eska, Souls Of Mischiefs, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Robert Glasper, Dimlite, Lady Blacktronika, Poets of Rhythm, Steve Spacek, and many more…

More recently ill Dubio has founded HIGH JAZZ* Records, a label entirely devoted to publishing and reissuing his favorites. Dubio also plays jazz, soul, beats and more from his sprawling record collection on the HIGH JAZZ* monthly residency on NTS Radio.

J’peux Tim /Kasheme
Originally from Kosovo, Kasheme bar co-owner, musicology student & DJ j’peux Tim is looking to continuously expand his horizons, make new connections and elevate his music conscience to a new level. “I live and breathe music and I am constantly seeking to be mesmerized and inspired by new musicians.”
Constantly growing, while influenced by the revival of spiritual jazz, ambient and world music, j’peux Tim aims to raise awareness on environmental and social issues through people’s emotions.
