A club night co-curated by Lux Rec x Backslash Festival with a distinctively dark hue and a tattoo flashday collaboration with Diversity is Future.

Backslash is moving beyond a conventionally organised festival forthcoming in November, yet this night’s aim is admittedly appearing more straightforward: thrust for its own sake, and stomp as if there was no tomorrow. But make no mistake—we won’t allow this to be void of purpose beyond the physics of shattering. Whatever the format, our values persist.

15.00 – 00.00 DIVERSITY IS FUTURE
As part of the Tattoo and Art community we want to do our part and believe that positioning oneself within this debate is more crucial than ever. We would like to use this situation, daunting as it may be, to create a platform for likeminded people to connect with others and give room for reflection. This multidisciplinary event should function as a meeting point for connection in symbolic solidarity by bringing together people from various corners of art, design, music and politics. Our focus lies on the encompassing structural racism which minorities with various religious and cultural backgrounds face in Switzerland. Diversity and the tolerance which is necessary for it, are part of the European identity which should be upheld and cared for. 100% of the revenue collected with the tattoos and the collab t-shirt will be donated to charity organisations in Switzerland and abroad: Autonome Schule Zürich, Anti-Terror Police Project, Allianz Gegen Racial Profiling, Black Lives Matter, Advancement Project.
