The burnt industrial universe of DAME AREA, the fulgurance of their live transbahted from squatts to alternative places, allowed the Barcelona duo Silvia Konstance and Viktor L.Crux to emancipate themselves from their influences and to develop the so much coveted formula of red magic.

The sound experience proposed by DAME AREA revisits in a liberated, wild and industrial minimalism the intentions of Einsturzende Neubauten from the beginning. The synthetic textures spread grimy images like the phantasmagorical delirium of Nurse With Wound. Their lives are like a whirling dervish’s trance on Krautrock pills…

Revealed with a handful of heady singles (“Centro di gravitá”, “Dicevi a me”) also made them fit in many of the playlists of inveterate DJs and diggers among them: Toulouse Low Trax, Vladimir Ivkovic, Identified Patient, Yamatsuka Eye (Boredoms)…

Since 2018 they have been touring incessantly as a duo, and since 2019 punctually cross paths with GNOD’s drummer, Jesse WEBB.

It is high time to share this jealously guarded secret, we all need the magic of DAME AREA.

Belia Winnewisser
After her studies in sound arts and contemporary art practice, Belia Winnewisser’s expertise in sound design and live electronics showed early on in many extracurricular activities. As a composer, singer and keyboardist, Belia’s past involvements included former goth band Evje, indie band Silver Firs, or pop duo a=f/m. Lately she focuses on her solo work as a producer, live performer and DJ, while completing commissions for theatre productions, audio books or teaching songwriting and production workshops. Belia Winnewisser’s sound effortlessly meanders between banging club, harsh noisescapes and catchy songwriting, making use of high-strung breakbeats, electronic artefacts, eerie synths, hypnotic arpeggios and warm melodic parts, thrilling both physically and intellectually.

Belia currently collaborates with graphic designer and visual artist Sabrina Zeltner, known as Subrihanna, on an audio-visual performance series. Subrihanna’s visuals focus on ultra-modern 3D objects that still retain a momentum of light-hearted playfulness. Their joint sets blur the lines between deconstructed club music and a refreshingly bold future pop by mixing crispy drum sounds, shiny, sleek aesthetics and sparkling melodies. The music video for Dancing Patterns was released by Die Orakel in 2022.
