Alexandra Drewchin alias Eartheater gilt als eine der führenden Köpfe der experimentellen Musik von heute. Ob mit elektronischen oder akustischen Klängen, Eartheater’s unverwechselbarer musikalischer Code definiert sich durch ihre reiche Harmonik, die sich zwischen Spannung und Entspannung bewegt. Ihre unstillbare Neugier und ihr Wunsch, komplexe Gefühle, Atmosphären, Geschichten, Botschaften und Spiegelungen in Musik zu packen, hat sie zu einer Multiinstrumentalistin, Produzentin, Komponistin und Regisseurin vieler Welten gemacht. Sie verwendet gerne “hässliche” Elemente in Geräuschen und Emotionen, um ihren Aufstieg ins Ätherische zu verstärken.
Zusätzlich zu ihrer eigenen Musik hat Eartheater mit einer Vielzahl von Künstler*innen zusammengearbeitet, von Grimes und Caroline Polachek bis hin zu Show Me The Body, LEYA und Moor Mother.
Diesen Sommer geht Eartheater mit ihrer gefühlvollen Live-Performance auf Tournee und spielt eine Reihe von Shows und Festivals in Nordamerika und Europa. In der Gressneralle wird sie zusammen mit ihrem DJ Sammy eines ihrer elektrisierenden, cluborientierten Sets spielen.

Whether it be using electronic or acoustic sound, Eartheater’s distinct musical code is defined in its rich harmonics, flexing between tension and release. Her insatiable curiosity and desire to deposit complex feelings, atmosphere, stories, messages, and mirrors in music has led her to being a multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and director of many worlds. She embraces the use of “ugly” elements in noise and emotion to amplify her ascent towards the ethereal.
This summer Eartheater takes her viscerally emotive live performance on the road for a series of shows and festival plays across North America and Europe. On select dates she will be accompanied by various chamber groups, some of which will be local to the respective cities, and sometimes composed of friends MariLu and Adam of LEYA. The tour will also include club-oriented sets where she will perform with her DJ, Sammy.
Her latest album Phoenix: Flames Are Dew Upon My Skin, also released by PAN, was composed, produced, and arranged by Eartheater, and testifies to the reincarnating resurrections the project has undergone over its first full decade of existence.
In addition to her own music, Eartheater has collaborated with a wide range of artists, from Grimes and Caroline Polachek to Show Me The Body and Moor Mother. She has lent her vocals to new songs by Yung Kayo, Tony Seltzer and LEYA. Eartheater has also composed original work for Proenza Schouler and the Alarm Will Sound orchestra.
