Festivities continue at Zukunft with a supreme crate-digging producer from California and one of Amsterdam’s most creative DJs.
Relentless beat wizard Madlib is back in Switzerland after many years. The production maestro, musician, and rapper has built a sprawling catalogue of music under several aliases and through beloved collaborations. He is the astrotravelling Quasimoto and the vintage jazz ensemble Yesterday’s New Quintet, one half of Madvillain (with MF Doom) and Jaylib (with the late J Dilla), and his rare samples have graced Kanye West, Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak and countless others.
Cinnaman and Gray Chalk are both alumni of RBMA 2006, where they rubbed elbows with fellow participants Flying Lotus, Aloe Blacc, Nina Kraviz and Daniel Brandt of Brandt Brauer Frick. A dexterous DJ/producer, Cinnaman is affiliated with global dance music institution Dekmantel and favors creative sets incorporating house, UK garage, and hip hop. Bern’s Gray Chalk will spark things up with his raw groove detours.
