Subspace brings classy, laid-back clubbing to the ship. Of course, that doesn’t mean the DJs won’t turn up the heat from time to time, but in general, it’s the Brazilian artist Classmatic, signed by Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, who also lets his creativity flow on Raw, a sublabel of Solid Grooves Records (one of the best current tech-house labels). He stands for just that: house music with plenty of soul, often infused with funk and a generous dose of Latin references. It all sounds very much like the subtropical South, like a beach party with lots of Tequila Sunrises. Oio and Tanja Alison assist our South American guest.
