Deine Inspirationsquelle ist?
Da gibt es kein bestimmter Artist oder ein bestimmtes Genre. Ich mag alles, was interessante Drum-Sounds- und Patterns hat. Meine Playlist der Woche ähnelt dieser Vorliebe – bis zu einem gewissen Grad – denke ich.
In Deiner Arbeit geht es um?
Das ist eine schwierige Frage. Ich beschäftige mich seit 7 bis 8 Jahren mit elektronischer Musik, spiele ein paar Instrumente und habe mehr als hundert unveröffentlichte Ableton-Projekte auf meinem Macbook. Dennoch bin ich noch lange nicht zu einem ‘vollständigen’ Künstler gereift. Ich arbeite immer noch an einem ganzheitlicheren Ansatz, an einer Definition meines Kern-Sounds und an einer gewissen Konsistenz in meinem Output. Diese Dinge brauchen Zeit und ich finde sie langsam heraus. Mit jedem Projekt gewinne ich mehr Erkenntnisse darüber, was funktioniert und was nicht, also betrachte ich es als eine Art Übung. In diesem Sinne ist Musik wie Mathematik, und ich löse einfach nach x, bis ich es richtig hinbekomme. Und ich hoffe, dass ich diese Frage im Laufe der Zeit besser beantworten kann.
Deine Studioarbeit ist geprägt von?
Meine Studioarbeit verändert und entwickelt sich immer noch, aber ich denke, einige bemerkenswerte Konstanten sind die sich wiederholenden Vocal-Samples, die ich aus verschiedenen Ecken des Internets nehme, ebenso die Pad-basierten Melodien und ein ätherischer Touch.
Your source of inspiration is?
No particular artist or genre. i like anything that has interesting drum sounds and patterns. my playlist of the week resembles this – to some extent – i think.
Your work are about?
It’s a tough question. I’ve been into electronic music for the past 7-8 years, play a few instruments and have more than a hundred unreleased Ableton project files on my Macbook. Yet, I have nowhere near matured into a complete artist. I’m still working on a more holistic approach, a definition of what my core sound consists of and a certain consistency in my output. That stuff takes time and I’m slowly figuring out. With every project I do get more insight into what works and what doesn’t, so I consider it practice of some sort. In that sense, music is math and I’m just solving by x until I get it right. And with the passing of time, I hope i’ll be better able to answer this question.
Your studio work is characterized by?
It is still changing and evolving but I think some noteworthy constants are repetitive vocal samples I grab from various corners of the internet, pad-based melodies and an ethereal touch.
