James Dean Brown (Perlon / Dark Entries Records | Berlin)

James Dean Brown, living/working in Berlin, Frankfurt a.M. and Paris, is deeply rooted in the adventuresome Perlon family and a DJ regular in the rotating line-up of their monthly, celebrated “Get Perlonized” parties at Panorama Bar since 2001. Producing and DJing for more than two decades, JDB is an experienced story-teller, crossing a wide field of genres. His versatile, musical roller coaster rides are passionate, vinyl-based, of timeless quality and designed for gaining “The Emotional Maximum”. They follow an approach of serious deepness, psychedelic vibration and voodoo magic, driven by a cordial punch; “minimalism” means reduction of conformity here.

In 1995, evolving from Hypnobeat, JDB established Narcotic Syntax (releases on Perlon), a band he reboosted in collaboration with musician/producer Yapacc in 2003. After all, Hypnobeat retransformed from its successor project with an exclusive solo live performance by James Dean Brown in Paris, 2012. Finally, one year later saw the exciting new evolution of Hypnobeat with Helena Hauff joining the project.
